The UK supreme Court has ruled that "a woman is defined by “biological sex” under the country's equality law – excluding transgender women" (men)

This is great news. Finally commonsense prevails. It will take some time to filter down to New Zealand but I'm sure conversations have started already.

yes, it is reassuring the world hasn't gone completely bonkers yet but tbh, I am worried about the blow back

Sadly, I can't help but expect the day will come where a natural born woman is no longer the legal definition of a woman.

There has already been an "emergency demonstration" to protest it (in Britain) with quite horrible signs
that say something like "the only good terf is a dead terf.".... it shows a gallows
and "transphobes fix your heart or die"

The trans community don't want conversation, they want anarchy

I haven't posted on here for a long time. I had to respond to this, though. I really hope this decision gives people who were afraid to speak the truth the courage to do so. And I hope it will stop the harm to kids.

Welcome back Lynne.
It took Trump then the Supreme Court to get the ball rolling...now people Left, Right and Center are jumping on the biological bandwagon stating that they knew it all along. Biological men will NEVER BE women.
I've been speaking out (albeit quietly, I don't have a big voice) on this issue for the last few years, r'ships with my family have suffered and I think the harm the ideology is having on vulnerable people is going to take a long time to get out of the systems and organizations it infiltrated and took over.

Cross dressing is one thing but taking drugs and doing surgery are another. I've heard there are already people saying they wish they'd never gone the gender reassignment route, You live with the consequences for the rest of your life. With older people saying they regret it I would hope that would give young adults pause for thought before wading into medical interventions but to be advocating such treatments before puberty seems very wrong to me.

If they imagine blocking the surges of chemistry during puberty will make a perfect woman then the writing is already on the wall, it doesn't.

NZ has a coalition government made up of National, Act and New Zealand First. The leader of NZF this week proposed a gender bill to biologically define women in law.

The trans activists won't go down without a fight.

It seems likely to me that the trans activists are going to win unfortunately. I have to ask - are they wanting a legal definition of a man too?

Omg Lily! We simply can't allow the activists to win. The activists are men and the women who have been captured by an ideology that puts the needs of men who think they're women above and beyond biological reality. The safety and dignity of women doesn't matter to them.
