Does anyone have stories of finding peace after ending a rationship with a ton of red flags but no actual evidence. I'm finding it incredibly hard to know I made the right decision when I dont have any text messages, emails or proof. I have been gaslit over questioning him on all the red flags and I do wonder if I've just made it all up. Does anyone relate ? Will I always wonder for my whole life ?

Hi Nantucket,

If I learn nothing else from this whole situation (soon to be divorced from an ex who is marrying his new boyfriend), the one thing I want to retain is that it turned out that I was RIGHT about so many things I doubted.

If your gut, or inner knowing or whatever you want to call it, is telling you something, believe it. I wish I had listened to myself a lot sooner.

Your intuition and feeling of mistrust and hurt simply has to be bigger than your uncertainty about your decision.

You have to, at first and everytime you have doubt, remember why you ended the r'ship and what you'd have to endure, put up with if you were still with him.

I was with my former partner for 38 years and even though we're amicable, and talk all the time...too much water has gone under the bridge and if we got back together the dynamic between us would be nothing like it used to be.
So I'm really strong with myself. I'd rather be alone with my decision than get sucked back into the Mindfuck
