OurPath (formerly SSN) Open Forum / Anyone else worried about upcoming movie “My Policeman”

More specifically the portrayal of straight spouses? Brokeback Mountain portrayed the straight wives badly in my opinion. One was spineless and somewhat pathetic and the other seemed willfully ignorant. I’m worried, given the plot of the story that the straight wife will be hyped up as overly vindictive while the husbands lies and cheating will be played down. I’ve heard a lot of hype around this movie and it seems like it’ll be a blockbuster so I hope I’m wrong. Anyone else?

I won't be watching that movie and I didn't watch Brokeback Mountain either.

I'm bracing myself to face the onslaught - the way I see it, it's like the closet was so full it has burst at the seams so now the whole world is becoming a closet.

My response is just to be looking for the company of my fellow straights because I've already done a lifetime of a marriage bathing in the spin of a closeted husband and I don't need any more of it.
