I'm fairly new to this forum so please excuse if this topic has come up before.  This is just something I am curious about.  

A friend and I frequently walk at a local park that has walking/hiking trails.  To get to the trails, you have to drive up a long, steep paved road (about 1/2 mile).  It is completely wooded - no houses, businesses, nothing alongside the road.  The trails are located at the end of the dead-end street, so if you were there to hike, there would be no reason to park your car anywhere except at the very top end of the road.  

We always notice a smattering of vehicles (usually between 4 and 6) about half-way up the road.  They are randomly parked on either side of the road.  There are no walking paths here, but the area is heavily wooded.  Some of the cars/trucks are empty, and others have lone occupants.  The people in the cars are always men - generally white and middle aged.  If you look at their faces, they turn away.  Sometimes we see the men get out of their cars and walk into the woods.  

My friend and I thought at first that this might be a place for drug pick-up but we are reconsidering and we think now it is a gay sex meet up spot.  I was just wondering if this was common.
