I would normally ask my husband this question but since it pertains to him I cannot ask the question.
Does anyone know how to transfer texts and photos from a cell phone (iphone) to an external drive? I want to keep all my texts and photos from him, screen shots of his conversations with other "women" and keep them on my person because he is the administrator of our server so i am fearful of anything being stored on the hard drive.

You can sync them to iCloud and/or any other cloud server (such as Dropbox, Flickr, Amazon).

Is the Cloud accessible to the main server of your home OR is it accessible to anyone on the phone plan?

You're probably under a "Family sharing" plan now, but you should be able to buy your own individual storage plan. I'm not sure how, though, TBH.
Do you have a Google account? You can upload them to Google Drive and then delete them from your device. You can also save them to a thumb drive.

How do I save them to a thumb drive? Do i have to upload to google drive first?

Can you log into your iCloud account via a web browser? www.icloud.com. You can "save as" to the thumb drive on your computer. (Or you can upload them from your phone to Google Drive)

Sadly on topic for us.

One can install an sms message backup app on android and I believe it could email the backup.

PTSD for me... i recall my hands trembling through the whole process... It may be necessary but at some point I said to myself.. " What am I doing..what sort of person drives their spouse to this.?:.. Its not what we signed up for we took our marriage vows... espionage, sneaking, spying.. At some point I knew it was pointless to look..had to force myself to stop... I knew all I would find was bad crap. The fact that they try to keep it secret and think it is normal says all you need to know.. it is not normal, it is not moral.

Do what you need to do ...but do remember at some point to cut back.. you have all you need..it becomes self torture and harm at some point...

Mostly it is the text messages because I never use to keep them but over the last 20 years he would always say I did not say this or that so now i keep all my text messages for that reason and want to ack those up
