I was just on another discussion board, and JenS and I were talking about songs and I was wondering if we could get a list of "feel good" songs going. I'll start:
Brave, Sara Bariellies
Unwritten, Natasha Bedingfield
No limitations...just what makes you feel like smiling and singing
Offline
so the list is:
Brave-Sara Barriellies
Unwritten-Natasha Bedingfield
I will survive-Gloria Gaynor
I can do better-Avril Lavigne (haven't heard this one yet)
Better with time-Leona Lewis
no sad songs-----only happy on this list! We can always start one for sad songs. Let's face it...this crew has seen plenty of heartache and tears....trying to see some smiles.
Come on....we started it....let's hear some more.....no limit on number on number of songs.

I had 2 different playlists on my ipod for this one!
One was called, Oh, piss off (obviously to handle my anger issues) and the other called Light.
I tried to stay away from the sad ones.
3 off the top of my head:
I am Light -India Arie
2 by Alanis Morrissette: Empathy, and Everything....I love one line in Empathy...SO appropriate for this group! The lines are:
Thank you for seeing me
I feel so less lonely
Thank you for getting me
I'm healed by your empathy
3 angry songs:
Rootless Tree-Damien Rice
Killing in the Name of-Rage against the Machine
Open Your Eyes-Guano Apes
So so many more, we should start a youtube channel! Or Spotify playlist....

I love this list so far, I love all kinds of music....it speaks to me...JenS just reminded me that my drive to work and back isn't just for crying. It's for turning the music up and singing at the top of my lungs...Let's keep the list going.
