This morning I logged in and read a new member posting her story. She sounds
anxious and needing support. No way to reply to her of course, we have to wait
until she comments on the other boards. Plus I felt it too forward (pushy lol) to
direct message her.
I went back and reread her story, noted the ''0 replies" underneath
and thought... is there any reason "0 reply" can't be removed...
Because there is and never will be any reply! so why have it there.
Just a thought.

yes agreed, I find that stories section very awkward, I'm never sure if the poster has understood we can't reply to her there, I think the idea was that the older posters would write their stories there as an inspiration to newbies but I have never seen that happen, it is the newbies that post there so I feel they are looking for a response and we can't give it to them. In the past I have copied the message content across to another section so it could be replied to.

Maybe Admin will have a think about removing the unnecessary words "0 replies"

I wonder if the number of replies is just a built-in feature of whatever forum template this is. I'm thinking that OurPath didn't build this program and doesn't have the ability to fix that.
Lily, I think your fix is a good one!

I’m new and just posted a story. Can you explain what you mean that we have to post on other boards to get a reply?

Welcome to our Forum Coconutgirl.
Sometimes when new members post their story in the Our Stories section they may not always notice/be aware that the stories can't be replied to. Especially if they are traumatized, stressed and deterred from posting when there's no response to their story.
You however....have posted on the General Board and we can respond to your post.
