Hello - This coupled was featured in the Washington Post last week.
Samantha Wynn Greenstone knows her husband is gay. Yet they’ve been in a committed monogamous relationship for nearly 10 years.
They’re not alone. A new crop of couples are openly speaking about their mixed-orientation marriages, divorced from sexual attraction but not love.

A "lavender marriage" is a special kind of MOM where the marriage is actually only intended as a cover for the gay spouse.
Personally, I think that's a pointless type of relationship, certainly not one I would choose.
I was under the impression that Samantha Wynn Greenstone and her husband, Jacob Hoff, don’t have a lavender marriage. I read that they explicitly deny that, so I think they won’t be happy with that depiction in the CNBC story.
The CNBC article seems willfully ignorant about what a MOM is. The fact that there are MOMs that aren’t intended as a façade apparently causes them a lot of cognitive dissonance.

Thank you for pointing it out, Dutchman. I follow Jacob and Samantha on Instagram and they are awesome. They constantly have to tell people that they are not in a lavender marriage. My marriage was referred to as "lavender" a few times as my husband was coming out. It angers me, but then I take a step back and think "whatever, if other people think my marriage is loveless/sexless, it doesn't make it such; and it tells more about the person thinking that than about me and my husband".
