Yes, it is horrible.
I do think this has been widely talked about, it's just there's no answer to it. Then the parents come under pressure to consent to the medical procedures being carried out, and it's insisted that this is in their child's best interest but apart from anything else down the road all that medical interference has to come at considerable cost to their physical health doesn't it.

Miriam,
A very hard part of being a straight spouse is being misled to the point of losing confidence in one's own inner sense of what's really going on. It messes with your instincts to feel like something is off, and be reassured by someone who is pretending to be someone they're not.
Trust your instincts! And if he refuses counseling, go by yourself!

It has been widely talked about but frustratingly, and it's only now (I hate to say it but thanks Donald Trump) taking on the importance needed to start getting men out of women's spaces, prisons, hospital wards, sports
.... You name a place where women expect to feel safe..there will be a man identifying as a woman and wanting to be affirmed and accepted, and if he isn't he'll raise hell so that anybody in his way gets ignored, cancelled, shouted down.
There is an answer to it and it's speaking the truth...."you're a man. Get out of this women's space"

I must admit, can't help it, I just find myself thinking Donald Trump looks a bit transgender.
The sports thing is very difficult - what about the lesbians? could get complicated.
Personally I don't consider women's toilets a safe space and never have but let's face it, it felt a lot safer than it would have been to go into the mens. It's years since I been in a public toilet as I have not been through an airport since Covid but I have to say the thought of being accosted by a large transgender woman insisting she's a better woman than me is terrifying. Should this happen I am not going to be telling her she's a man!!!

That "large transgender woman" would always be a man Lily. And the sooner more women stand up and insist they fuck off the safer the world will be.

If I were a transgender woman I would not feel safe in the mens' rooms. I think the best thing is to solve the problem by having a third restroom, I know it's expensive but it looks after everybody, I hope.

If you were a "transgender woman" you'd be a man pretending to be one and if that made you uncomfortable to be in the men's toilet, competition, prison, health center.... Whatever 🤪 then yeah make your own transgender fucking world, knock yourself out.
But why do women have to accept the other sex into the places that have always, respectfully, been yours and mine.
It's been a man's world for too long and now men want to be us as well. To mimic and diminish our strength that we fought so hard for.
The worst part of all this is that there are women out there cheering these men on.

Yes, agreed, please keep women's toilets for women. But it still remains a fact that transgender women, however much they are still men could be harassed in a men's toilet.
Women are not a cut and dried species either though it works well enough in terms of sharing restrooms there are not many straight women who can compete at the higher levels of women's sport. and if the transgenders get included it stands to reason they will outperform all.
They do not outperform women as cooks even though they think they do, but in sport yes.
I really really really do not see it like it has been a man's world - from what I've seen it's been the closeted lesbians who pulled the strings. And even though we have benefited from a lot of what they have achieved in terms of women's rights and social position, the straight women are still the ones on the bottom of the heap.
