I googled it....typing Gay+1....and it came back with Gay (1) and a lot of lgbtq gobble-de-gook

I see it on a Mixed Orientation Facebook group that I've joined. I hadn't heard of it before. I don't know how common it is.

Maybe it means gay + 'any other of the alphabet letters they choose to identify as'
