Re: Let’s create a playlist! What ear worms live in our SSpouse psyche?

I love this list.

I find when I have something in my head, it often is telling me something about my deep feelings!  I may not even register those until I voice the song.  My song today:

Don’t You Forget About Me by Simple Minds.  Haha.

My 15yr old likes Ska, and this is new on his playlist.  Very danceable!  Funny if it’s about prom, but not so funny about broken families ...

Still, dance dance dance!

Re: Let’s create a playlist! What ear worms live in our SSpouse psyche?

There are two songs by the cowboy junkies that I can listen to. Ive listed how they resonated with me from Dday to now.

Cold Tea Blues - about  unreciprocated love and what the life was that I was living in my first marriage.

Thirty Summers - the conflict that my ex probably experienced when in denial, my desire at the time of disclosure to not want to let go of the family life, and acknowledgement that integrity dictated I had to.

I feel I’ve now found the reciprocated love the author seeks in Cold Tea Blues. I hope all here find and experience that kind of love someday.
