Oh gosh. There are so many!

I’m Not the Only One-Sam Smith (BIG TIME!!)
I’m Not Ready to Make Nice-Dixie Chicks
Better Man-Little Big Town
A Littlr Too Late-Toby Keith
She Let Herselr Go-George Strait
Happier-Bastille (STBX doesn’t want the divorce. I keep telling him if he truly loved me, he would let me go!)

And the song that I love, but it breaks my heart...Love of My Life by Queen. Seeing Bohemian Rhapsody...the scene where Freddie Mercury tells his gf he’s bi and she says no, you’re gay. This song was playing in the background. My daughter who does not know the reason behind our divorce cried during this scene. She talked about this scene after the movie, saying how sad it was...she said how beautiful and sad it was that he loved her so much, but he couldn’t love her like that. The beautiful, horrible irony in that statement. If she only knew...

I've been making a playlist and it's helped me see the stage I'm in very clearly. I can't listen to angry break up songs or survivor type songs. I am strictly in the depressing, mopey, grief stage. The title of my playlist is Its Time. Here are a few of mine:

Love Will Tear us Apart - Joy Division
The Night We Met - Lord Huron
Last Goodbye - Jeff Buckley
Somewhere only we know - Keane
Love Will Come to you - Indigo Girls
Love is a Losing Game - Amy Winehouse
Someone Like You - Adele
Goodbye to Love - Carpenters
Harder now That its Over - Ryan Adams
Thank u, next - Ariana Grande
Case of You - Joni Mitchell
Let Her Go - Passenger
Somebody that I used to know - Gotye
I Know Its Over - The Smith's
Winner Takes it All - ABBA

There are a couple sad ones that I still can’t listen to.

Break Up in the End-Cole Swindell
Here Comes Goodbye-Rascal Flatts

I was working in the yard last fall with my headphones on. Here Comes Goodbye came on and I literally fell to my knees and started sobbing (what on earth must the neighbors have thought 🙄). I’m really not a Rascal Flatts fan...and I don’t know that prior to that I had ever paid much attention to that song, but the words clearly got to me. Sometimes the pain is so much, it’s almost more than I can bare.
