When I joined Straightspouse Network, as it was back then...I was always on the lookout for other New Zealand members to talk to but the 2 or 3 I did find in the Forum were unwilling/too apprehensive to really start any meaningful interaction.
I'm very aware that privacy is paramount to many who may not be as far into the Mindfuck as I am and never wanted to scare anybody off...lol.

Then I received an internal message from Alex1984 who was visiting my city and, even though we are not in the same space... I'm now separated, Alex is still in a MOM.... she suggested we get together. And I'm so pleased we did.

Thank you Alex 😊 I could have talked with you for hours!

Elle

Good deal.   Hope you guys gave each other a in real life hug.

(I recall the in person local SSN group..first thing I got was a hug and I cried.. as my cheating GX had stopped all physical contact with me..and I didnt know if any of her physical contact was ever real).

A sincere e-hug to everyone.

Thank you for the kind words, Elle, and it was great to connect with you!

While I am not (or at least not yet) overly public/vocal about our MOM experience, we are open with families and friends. I am always open to connect with people - so message me via DMs.

OurPath has a "personal Support" form on their website, too! The request goes to local support people - those who are at least 2 years post-disclosure. I filed it out straight after the coming out bomb and the woman they connected me to was a lifesaver. I highly recommend to anyone who wants in-person contact.

https://ourpath.org/personal-support/

The more we all talk about our experiences - between ourselves, but more importantly, with outsiders - the more those experiences are normalised, and the more support we can expect from those around us.

Sending my love to you all ❤️
