Hello, first time posting on this forum, I was wondering if anyone’s had a similar experience. Has anyone else’s closeted spouse an alcoholic or abuse other substances?

I work in the substance use field as well as my boyfriend who is bi is now sober. There's alot of men that use substances to hide who they are.

My closeted les/bi/ace wife has a diagnosed eating disorder and borderline alcohol dependency.

He was so good at hiding the drinking and even better at hiding his true self.

The hardest thing is when someone doesn't open up about their substance use issue.
