The past few nights I've been watching a Netflix series called "The Staircase." It's a documentary about a man (Michael Peterson) in North Carolina whose wife falls down the stairs and he is charged with murdering her. The actual people involved are filmed by live camera crews, back when this occurred (early 2000s).
Episode #2 begins with a member of Peterson's legal team confronting him about a man who came forward and said he was having a gay relationship with Peterson. Peterson acts incredulous upon receiving the news, and denies the relationship. Later in the episode, Peterson reflects and says that the term "relationship" implies more than sex. He says he's monogamous (with his wife) but he could have sex. Then he states, "There is another aspect of me. Yes, we did have sex."
Later in the episode, he admits to having sex with 6 or 7 men during his marriage to his deceased wife. There's also a conversation where someone asks him if his wife knew and he said they never talked about it, but she should have known and he figured she was okay with it.
I don't think I can watch any more of this series.
