I am having a real hard time focussing on my work. I WFH but it is pretty mentally taxing technical work, it is also customer facing so I speak to people all the time.

I am really struggling to focus on my work and putting in the effort without my mind wondering back to the issues with my LW and the future for me and my kids.

Anyone find a way to help cope ?

Good question.  I feel your pain.

Have you visited your Doctor yet?  I struggled with depression and anxiety attacks and really had a hard time getting any work done... and that was before Covid work from home was an issue.  I can't image if I had to be in the house with her.   I was given some anxiety meds that helped keep me more consistent.  Something like that might help.

By the way.. did you know that short or long term disability is an option for you?  I wish I had known at the time, but I could have taken 6 months off work with my Dr's diagnosis of acute depression..  That would have gotten me through the worst of it and made life a lot easier.

Yeah I have considered it but with her at home I am probably better off working and not sitting at home idly

Thanks for the advice
