I'm a newbie to forum life.

I've posted a couple of times and several people have responded in most thoughtful, supportive and helpful ways. I am trying to respond to their responses to me and I'm not sure I'm doing the right thing to link my response to their comments/posts back to be.

Can someone help me learn how to do that?

On the right side at the bottom of each post there are a few words you can click on.

Quote - if you click on this it will create a text box with the person's quote already copied into your new post.
Post Reply - will open up a new screen that you can simply type out whatever you wish, then click submit to save the post.

Also below the last post in any thread there is a box you can type in called "quick post".  You can type in there and hit submit at the bottom.

-Formerly "Lostdad" - I now embrace the username "phoenix" because my former life ended in flames, but my new life will be spectacular.

phoenix, if I use the text box at the bottom of the thread, does the person to whom I'm responding know that I  have responded to their comment? I think that happens, for sure, if I use the quote or post reply option. Just not sure if it works if I go to the text box below the thread.
