Found Gayfriendlydating in cookies on laptop

Hi Everyone: Hope you're having a nice Saturday.
So here's my story in a brief digest.
I'm starting with the end:
Three days ago I found a gay porn video that popped up on husband's laptop.
I couldn't find much in his history, but went to the advanced settings and checked the browser cookies. One cookie was for a gay dating site and when I confronted him, he screamed and yelled and said I was crazy and needed help and he no longer loved me. He told his entire family I'm crazy. I'm starting to think maybe I saw something that wasn't there. But I Know I saw the cookies and the gay porn pop up, just one video.
I knew he looked at straight porn, because for the last few years he has to get pretty drunk and watch porn in order to get in the mood. We are in our early 60s and he said that combo is like viagra for him.
Now, here are the red flags that have had me on "alert" for 18 years.
1. He had a long-time gay employee that was his paralegal in a law firm in Texas.
2. He loves gardening and flowers.
3. My instinct blaze that he's gay because something feels off where intimacy is concerned. Yes, he can perform, but he usually shuts his eyes the whole time and has had some booze.
4. He gets super mad if I calmly ask him anything about his sexuality.
5. He has a few gay stereotypes, such as a bit of feminine quality to his voice and a love of bowties, musicals, Madonna, Lady GaGa, but he played college sports.
6. He is a cyclist and rides with a group of guys all in their little Spandex bike outfits.
7. His favorite Broadway play is Rent
8. He checks guys out, but women too. He mentions men on the TV more than he does the women.
9. He can't stand fat and gets upset if he gains even two pounds

I think that those are red flags for sure. Hetrosexual men would have no reason to watch gay porn. He's closing his eyes during sex.I would assume that is because he does not want to look into your eyes. I broke up with my gay ex boyfriend almost two years ago. I wish you the very best of luck.

"when I confronted him, he screamed and yelled and said I was crazy and needed help and he no longer loved me. He told his entire family I'm crazy. I'm starting to think maybe I saw something that wasn't there."
- This is textbook gaslighting. Do not let him define reality. Write things down, take pictures of stuff, keep it secure and refer to it every time you're told you are imaging things.

Learningthehardway....this is the best site to ask questions like yours. Even when you already know the answer it's helpful to talk in straightspouse language with people who know exactly what you mean

6 years ago when I was asking A. about his internet use and "do you have another log in account?" and "why do you have to look at so much porn and literotica?"...he got so angry he threw the laptop across the room against the wall. Another time we were having a bath and I'd started asking him questions. A. became angry and leapt (yes leapt, water everywhere...I would've laughed if I wasn't so surprised) out of the bath.
But I remember the feeling of shame I felt that I had made him angry and tried to "be better" What the actual fuck! I know now that he was trying to keep me away from the secrets he kept and the easiest way for him was to get angry, dismissive, ridiculing.
He played me like that till my intuition and commonsense told me to open my eyes and really see what was in front of me
...a man who was using me to hide the person he liked to be (only sometimes) but who he was ashamed to let anybody else see.

When you finally get angry at the injustice of what he's doing and the diminishing of who you are....you can begin to take steps to rectify it all.

The real kicker in all this is that it mostly happens at an age when we're ready to enjoy the wonderful life/retirement we expected to have with the people we thought we knew.

I learned the hard way to stop reacting when my late GIDXH made up stories. He goaded me to make me look crazy if I lashed out in anger.  It made his slander of me appear true.

I knew it was the beginning of the end when this happened to me. It may be true for you. I'd suggest seeing a few family law attorneys to know what your rights and obligations are in your marriage.  No need to tell your h and you're under no obligation to go further than this.

No - It's not too late. It's not hopeless. Even there, there's something I can do. I just have to find the will. Ikiru (1952), film directed by Akira Kurosawa
