On June 5th this year, my husband of 28 years took me out for breakfast and told me he was bisexual. Two days later he told me he was actually gay and left our family home. We have X4 children together ages 10-16. I feel like my whole world crumbled that week. I'm under the care of my GP and am having counselling but the grief is still so heavy and can be all consuming. How long was it for people before they started feeling normal and not broken? I feel like I'm expected to be much further along in my healing journey but I feel so stuck and lost and nobody I've spoken to up to now has any idea what it feels like or what to say or not say.
I think I just need hope that it gets better.

As much as this is one of the hardest journeys to travel....learning secrets about the man you thought you knew......
I commend him for being honest with you, and not carrying on a double life with you none the wiser.
From this moment you have the chance to learn more about who you are, how you will approach this, and show your children you are strong enough and will be there for them.
Do they know? Too soon? probably
Did you have any suspicions in those 28 years?
