Thank you everyone! He wasn't that sick because he arrived a day early! But my emotions are stable. We will focus on the children and enjoy Christmas. My goal is no conversations about us. I am simply done. I will keep you posted.

Gwendolyn: Very wise decision not to engage.  He will no doubt try all his tricks, whatever they are (you know them best), to get you to do so.  Based on my own experience of how difficult it can be to hold oneself together in the face of my ex's relentless attempts to manipulate me, I recommend having an outlet for yourself that can serve as a pressure relief valve.  Take a walk, close (and lock) a door, sleep in a different room, call/visit a friend, etc.
