Music

I have been thinking of putting this question out here, and then read a post today where some people we talking about certain songs. Music sometimes expresses our feelings better than we can. It can soothe and comfort, acknowledge rage and hate, talk about the broken hearted and so on.
What songs or music have you identified with during your experience?  I’ll start with a few of mine.
Not In That Way - Sam Smith
Impossible - James Author
Blow Me - P!nk

Re: Music

In the midst of my deepest depression I found three songs that God used to speak to me.

Tell your heart to beat again:   Daney Gokey  -  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F77v41jbOYs
Thy will be done:   Hillary Scott - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dp4WC_YZAuw
I am not alone - Kari Jobe - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bfveawSAHJA

-Formerly "Lostdad" - I now embrace the username "phoenix" because my former life ended in flames, but my new life will be spectacular.

Re: Music

For acknowledging the hurt and struggle:
O My Soul:  Casting Crowns https://youtu.be/DjNZf878ISQ
Fear Is a Liar:  Zach Williams https://youtu.be/sQTnREEtuNk

For empowerment:  anything by P!nk
Getting out of my head:  Janet Jackson: Rhythm Nation album,  cheesy musicals, some Cardi B.

It's fun to explore new styles of music.  I was stuck in such a rut, listening to only what my ex liked when he liked it, and at the volume he liked it.   Not anymore!!!

Praying - Kesha

“And once the storm is over, you won’t remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive. You won’t even be sure, whether the storm is really over. But one thing is certain, when you come out of the storm, you won’t be the same person who walked in. That’s what this storm’s all about.” ~ Haruki Murakami ~
